Salam,

Thank you for taking time to write this, fascinating perspective. It is sad to see developing countries falling over themselves to emulate the industrial agriculture model in the US, which ironically is under so much scrutiny here. In many ways industrial ag is worse overseas becuase of corruption and genuine lack of oversight (I've heard some stories about pesticide use in Egypt for example).

Hopefully they will realize what we have here is not the best way, but its very hard to turn the clock back on $1 hamburgers.

I will repost this on our Facebook fan page with a link.

Take care!

رحمه الله رحمة واسعة وادخله فسيح جناته
I still remember that day, with all its feelings. When I heard the news, I told myself that they were talking about someone else. When we reached my aunts house, I kept looking at the door waiting for him to come. It didn't hit me until the end of the third day that he was really gone. I hole in my heart was created.
I still have those gifts he gave us, as he it was his habit every year, a S.R 500 calculator, a ring and a bracelet. The calculator stopped working and the ring and the bracelet changed color and they do not fit anymore, but to me they are among my prized possessions. I have his picture in a magnetic frame where I could see it everyday, on my fridge.
I miss him dearly, what makes things a bit easier is that he visits me from time to time, in my dreams.

back in the days before there were words like web 2.0 and social media there were online communities... and in those online communities -- particularly tech and also women's topics, there would be "experts" who through personal experience or work or trial /error, had the knowledge and ways to use/learn/get around issues that were often brought up in forums.
the posts would run long.. often longer than the forum liked but that's how blogs morphed out to livejournal and other places... it's a process of natural evolution

it seems that they get storage and bandwidth for free :p
it would take a lot of work to make a dent in Youtube's market share, that's my 2 cent

Good to have you back ... I hope you keep on bloging

Allah Yer7amou bro. 3atham Allah ajrakum.

Very deep and emotionally filled entry. I appreciate the chance I got to read it. Great writing. I understood the ending too-- The same arabic coffee and dates were the ones you're father (ra7matul Allah 3alyh) got for you're Aunt for Eid.

Take care bro, and thanks again.
